10th East Meets West: International Student Petroleum Congress & Career Expo

Dear SPE Family members!

We are happy to invite you to the 10th International Student Petroleum Congress & Carreer Expo East Meets West! The event will be held from 9 to 12 April 2019 at AGH UST based in Kraków, Poland.

What's going to happen?

Contests:
- Regional Student Paper Contest
Undergraduates, Postgraduates and PhD Students will have an opportunity to present their research in Student Paper Contest. Its winners will also have a chance to participate in the ATCE.

- PetroBowl Regional Qualifier 2019
Thanks to SPE International, we have an honor to hold the PetroBowl European Qualifier 2019 for the third time in a row. Top teams of the competition will represent Europe at the ATCE in September in Calgary, Canada.

- EMW Poster Session 
Young researchers from all over the World will make posters showing their innovative solutions and ideas for Oil & Gas Industry. The best 3 posters will be awarded.

- Discussion panel
Professionals from the industry will exchange different viewpoints. This year, experts will focus on innovative solutions in Oil&Gas industry. 

- Carrer Expo
It's a kind of speed dating for companies and job seekers. Come and speak face-to-face with recruiters, check out your résumé and ask questions in attempt to get a good feel on the work needed.

- Workshops
Designed and led by our sponsors and partners. You will gain new skills and prepare for exams in nice and non stressful environment.

Who are we?
AGH UST SPE Student Chapter!
We are a group of enthusiastic young people who want to test ourselves in first serious projects and in cooperating with others. Organizing such big event as the East Meets West Congress is not only hard work for us, but also many unforgettable moments spent with friends. When it comes to the next, 10th edition of the congress, we can feel pure enthusiasm and joy. The source of this joy is you, dear participants. It is you who builds the 'East meets West' Congress and make the event happen. We hope to see you again in April 2019 and spend together four most unforgettable days of the year. 
What is the idea of the East Meets West Congress?
The idea behind the first East Meets West Congress was to gather people from different parts of the world in one common idea - the idea of the 'East meets West'.
No matter if you are a student or a scientist, no matter if you come from the west or from the east - we all are part of the Oilfield Industry family and this idea is still the clue of the Congress. Bringing up to life the 10th edition of the East Meets West Congress is a great pleasure & great honor not only for organizers, but also for participants.
